The Minot State University Broadcasting Department will hold the Beavers Rebuild Flood Fundraiser in conjunction with the KMSU auction. Applicants for the award may submit a 3-5 minute YOUTUBE video of their damaged property along with a 1000 character essay and picture. The submissions will be viewed by a committee and the recipients will be determined based on a needs assessment performed by the committee. Entries must include name, business name, street address or affected property, city, state, zip code, phone, email, FEMA number and if you received any flood insurance benefit. The fundraiser will be open from October 21, 2011 through November 21, 2011. Please see rules regarding eligibility.

Beavers Rebuild Flood Fundraiser Application Rules
Beavers Rebuild Flood Fundraiser is open to persons living or doing business in Ward County during the time of the 2011 Mouse River Flood. Proof of occupancy and ownership required, along with valid FEMA ID number. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Applicants may supply a video and/or picture by providing a link via YouTube, along with a paragraph describing their unique experience on the application form found on www.kmsuauction.com. One entry per household or business. If application is being filled out by another party for the affected flood victim, owner consent will be required. Recipients will be announced on December 6, 2011 at the end of the televised auction. The award money will consist of funds raised during the auction, along with any matched funds or cash value gift certificates. Recipients will be selected by the Beavers Rebuild Flood Fundraiser Committee. Videos will be reviewed and considered only by the sole discretion of Minot State University committee. All recipients will be chosen on a needs assessment by the committee. Minot State University Broadcasting Department is not responsible for lost information or any computer programming errors either by website provider or YouTube. Recipients' name(s), images, and video stories will be used by the MSU Broadcasting Department. Recipients will be invited to various media events for the announcement of the fundraiser recipients and presentation of funds. Recipients will also be required to attend a follow up interview for KMSU Channel 19 after presentation of funds, and in approximately one year to demonstrate how the funds were used. MSU reserves the right to choose the recipient based on need and dismiss any application for any reason.
